Protecting the Local Ecosystem Without Disrupting Traffic
J.Cote worked with environmental consultants to install an 1800mm x 900mm concrete box wildlife tunnel under a heavy traffic roadway in Langley, BC. The concrete sections needed to be installed while maintaining single-lane traffic throughout the construction process.
Environmental Construction Completed On Schedule
To complete the wildlife tunnel, J.Cote installed a lock block retaining wall that included a 750mm concrete storm main that drains into an adjacent creek. All work including tunnel, retaining wall, backfill and landscaping were successfully completed within the 3-week environmental window.
