|Client:||Township of Langley|
|Scope:||This environmental construction project consisted of 22 linear metres of 1800 box culvert, installed in steep conditions with complex bypass pumping. The project also included the excavation and removal of the existing failed culvert, along with the restoration of the collapsed, eroded slopes and riparian zone.|
24/7 Bypass Pumping
Industrial Pumping Solution for Peak Flow Conditions
To mitigate environmental contamination during peak rain events that are common in the BC Fraser Valley, J.Cote set up a 24/7 bypass for the high flowing creek. This included a double-pump setup with floats and back up generators to keep up with high-flow water levels.
Not only were we able to expedite construction and finish the creek works ahead of schedule, the J.Cote team also prevented any environmental concerns.
